Big Bubbles = Happy Smile. TheraNeem As A Toothpaste Alternative!

Organix South Neem Tooth Scrub Powder Foaming Probiotic Toothpaste Replacement TheraNeem Herbal Gingivitis JUST when I thought USA-made toothcare couldn’t get any more interesting… I find products that blow expectations away.

A toothpowder by Organix South, “TheraNeem” offers a mint flavor powder that acts just like toothpaste… without the unnecessary “paste” part.

After liking the actual toothpaste version of the same thing (made in India the Neem capital apparently:*( sigh ) I found their entirely US-made toothpowder and had to try it out.

Result: AMAZING. Better than ever expected.

What blew me away…

There’s a lot of things that blew me away about TheraNeem Minty-flavored tooth and gum powder (besides big bubbles) and they are these:

  1. Neem. Lovingly referred to in native cultures as “the toothbrush tree,” neem has a wide variety of beneficial properties. Books have been written about it but to summarize its extensive health profile, neem is anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal, and a powerful tool for healing skin and teeth, gums, and more.

  2. It has probiotics. WHAT??! Yes! I have yet to see this in ANY toothpowder or paste to date. This is truly a phenomenal ingredient, and I only wish others would catch on to this. Probiotic mints are pricey… TheraNeem toothpowder is not. 😀

  3. Its minty. As much as I love unique new flavors… sometimes we want the familiar. In this case TheraNeem’s Mint is slightly sweet and comfortable after using a lot of other nontraditional natural tooth products utilizing baking soda and seasalt.

  4. Theraneem toothpowder actually foams, like paste. This would be critical for anyone hesitant about a switch from paste to powders. Although we’ve found foaming isn’t necessary to a good toothpowder, some hypothesize that foam DOES help lift debris better, hence its popularity in shampoo, soap, toothpaste, body wash, and so on. And I like it too. Again, nice and familiar.

  5. Its sweetened with Xylitol and stevia. Both natural, with xylitol being especially good for your teeth as an anti-cavity agent apparently!

  6. TheraNeem contains Calcium and Vitamin D3 to support healthy teeth and gums. Win!

  7. Baking soda, sea salt, and silica are all the finest-grind, so it can’t hurt the enamel, they say. With the way my dental visits have been going, I believe it.

  8. Low cost. $7.99 might seem steep for a bottle of powder, but consider the potency, the all-natural ingredients, and the fact that 200 applications amount to a measly 3 cents per use… Get it on sale, and its even better!

The Company Counts…

“Organix South” is another entrepreneurial wonder. I love their story.

The founder, Autumn Blum, actually dropped out of law school to make Neem Oil Pet Shampoo in her back bedroom. You can read about how Organix-South later happened here, at www.organixsouth.com.

One thing that really stood out about Organix-South was a great concern for the welfare of people and the environment.

Organix-South truly provides “an alternative to the cosmetic industry’s ‘cost-consciousness’ and lack of environmental concern[.] Autumn [founder] offers the world a vision that embraces organics, product efficacy and company ethics over pure profit. …Emphasiz[ing] natural ingredients, incorporating her knowledge of Neem and other medicinal plants to create therapeutic skin care and aromatic herbal supplements [Autumn] manufactures and distributes globally under the TheraNeem, TheraVeda and other private label brands.”

As for their products, their soaps, lotions, cream, shampoo and conditioners are all manufactured in Florida. The big exception is their toothpaste and supplements. (Neem being a product mostly of India, Florida’s small tree farms can’t keep up production to meet the demands.)

That said, we love all the products we’ve tried, the quality of TheraNeem products is definitely there, and they are dedicated to USA jobs, and ethical business practices.

So who should use the USA-made TheraNeem Toothpowder?

  • Anyone who wants to ramp up their oral health care

  • Anyone with trouble getting used to salt or “other” flavors of toothpowder

  • Anyone looking for adventurous products, self-efficacy, and broader horizons

  • Anyone avoiding glycerine

  • Those struggling with gum disease, foul breath, or other gum and mouth issues, or who would like to prevent them.

  • Anyone who wants to avoid chemicals like sulfates, parabens, flavors, coloring, and fluoride

  • In short…

Anyone!

    • I’m so glad you found this post, and that you’re interested in doing research with probiotics! This is excellent news!

I would suggest going directly to the manufacturer, Organix South, and they should be able to help you with any further questions you might have about their toothpowder.
